Promat Middle East First Ever Safety Day

Promat 22/11/2017

On 16th of November 2017, Promat Middle East had their very first Safety Day. The event highlighted the importance of safety not just for one day but for everyday activities that should be embraced by all Promat employees, both on and off the job.

A total of 53 employees participated. We invited professional trainers from Intertek.  Promat Safety Day was a whole day activity which covers an indoor training in the morning and outside activities in the afternoon. The training was primarily about developing safety culture inside and outside the workplace. The trainers highlighted real-life experiences on working safely and incident prevention. In the afternoon, everyone gathered for outdoor team building activities. All activities focused on working together to achieve a common goal. These activities clearly demonstrated that safety begins with teamwork.  Prior to the Safety Day, the safety committee launched a photo competition to encourage everyone to submit pictures related to being safe. The objective of the competition was to remind the employees to be mindful of their surroundings which will help us improve safety not only in the workplace but in our day to day lives as well.

At the latter part of the event, everyone received a certificate of participation, a Promat bag and a lunchbox. The photo competition winner was also announced at the end of the day.

Promat Middle East Managing Director, Mr. Mark Lavender gave an encouraging closing remarks to continue to have a creative thinking towards a safety culture and make sure we all look after each other both within and outside the workplace.  Promat Middle East team continue aiming for ZERO Lost Time Accident.
